Sonar seeks a Mid-level Marketing AI Engineer in Geneva to design and maintain AI-driven automations that streamline marketing workflows, reduce manual effort, and improve operational efficiency.
This position focuses on partnering with marketing teams to analyze their daily operations and implement AI agents and automated workflows. The primary goal is to eliminate repetitive manual tasks, minimize errors, and enhance capabilities in areas such as content creation, campaign management, and lead distribution.
Responsibilities
- Identify and prioritize opportunities where AI agents and automated workflows can reduce manual effort, decrease errors, or enable new marketing capabilities.
- Develop and deploy AI agents and automated systems to optimize marketing processes, including content production, campaign operations, reporting, lead routing, and personalization.
- Manage the complete lifecycle of deployed agents, covering initial release, continuous monitoring, debugging, and iterative improvements to ensure reliability.
- Measure and report on automation performance, tracking metrics such as time saved, error rates, throughput, and business impact, while providing regular summaries to marketing leadership.
- Evaluate emerging AI models, agent frameworks, and automation platforms to determine which technologies the marketing team should adopt or experiment with.
- Collaborate with the Marketing Tooling & AI Operations Manager to understand the current tool stack, ensure reliable integration of automations, and drive the adoption of new AI-powered features.
- Design automations that handle marketing data with a strong focus on data quality, privacy, and auditability.
- Create clear documentation for all deployed agents and workflows, and conduct internal training sessions to help the marketing team effectively utilize new tools.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience in marketing operations, automation engineering, or a related field, with a proven track record of building workflows that measurably improved team efficiency.
- Deep, hands-on knowledge of marketing processes and tools, including CRM systems (Salesforce), marketing automation platforms, campaign operations, analytics, and content workflows.
- Experience with no-code/low-code automation platforms (e.g., Make, Zapier, n8n) and the ability to extend them using scripting languages like Python and/or JavaScript.
- Working familiarity with AI agent frameworks (e.g., LangChain, Claude Agent SDK, OpenAI Assistants) or demonstrated ability to quickly learn new technologies.
- Experience integrating with third-party APIs and working with marketing data structures (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, GA, Marketo).
- Strong analytical skills and experience building performance dashboards and reporting for deployed automations.
- Clear communicator who can explain automation functionality and impact to non-technical stakeholders and translate requirements into precise technical specifications.
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Computer Science, or a related field.
