Mechanic Engine Testing

SR Technics in Zürich seeks a Mid-level Mechanic for Engine Testing to handle rigging, testing, and inspection of major aircraft engine models in a test cell environment.

This position focuses on the end-to-end testing of specific aircraft engines within a dedicated test cell. The role requires executing final test runs, performing detailed inspections, and ensuring all procedures align with manufacturer guidelines, contributing to the company's global operations.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and disassemble Pratt & Whitney PW4000, CFM International CFM56, GTF, and LEAP engines for testing, strictly following manufacturer manuals.
• Conduct final engine test runs for the specified engine models in compliance with technical documentation.
• Execute borescope inspections immediately following the test run.
• Diagnose and resolve issues within the test cell infrastructure.
• Manage assigned tasks independently, ensuring timely completion and self-verification of quality.
• Record all activities and test data in accordance with regulatory standards.
• Identify opportunities to enhance process efficiency, improve quality standards, and lower production costs.

Requirements

• Completed vocational training in metal or mechanical trades (such as polymechanics, machine, or automobile mechanics) or a technical background in engine test cell operations.
• Possession of a valid borescope inspection certification.
• Minimum of two years of relevant professional experience.
• Demonstrated ability to perform inspection and maintenance tasks with precision, independence, and a strong sense of responsibility.
• Strong problem-solving capabilities paired with clear and effective communication skills.
• Flexibility and reliability to work within a two-shift schedule.
• Collaborative mindset with an open and dedicated attitude towards teamwork.
• Consistent focus on safety, quality assurance, and cost-efficiency in daily operations.
• Proficiency in MS Office and SAP systems.
• English language proficiency at the B2 level.
