EFG International seeks a Network & Proxy Support Team Lead in Geneva to manage a small engineering team and oversee critical network infrastructure, security policies, and Zscaler solutions.
This position sits within the Information Technology Department in Geneva, where the successful candidate will join a local group of twelve engineers while collaborating with IT colleagues across more than thirty countries. The role blends people management with direct technical engagement, focusing on keeping business-critical systems secure, resilient, and connected. Specifically, the incumbent will lead a team of three network engineers under the guidance of the IT Infrastructure Support Manager.
Responsibilities
- Guide, mentor, and develop a team of three network engineers.
- Balance leadership duties with hands-on technical work on complex incidents and projects.
- Oversee daily network and proxy operations, including incident, problem, and change management.
- Plan and coordinate network and proxy upgrades, migrations, and lifecycle activities.
- Manage escalations and ensure timely resolution of major incidents.
- Manage and review third-party providers and vendor contracts.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory, security and audit requirements.
- Define, implement and maintain security policies including URL filtering, DLP and access control.
- Configure, operate and maintain Zscaler solutions (ZIA, ZPA) and related components.
- Manage corporate devices using Zscaler Client Connector (ZCC).
- Troubleshoot and resolve Zscaler-related issues by analysing logs and traces.
- Analyse network packet traces, Fiddler logs and HTTP/HTTPS headers.
- Provide 2nd and 3rd level technical support for network and related services.
- Configure, install and maintain network devices and services.
- Support and maintain network connectivity for financial market data feeds.
- Implement and maintain a continuous improvement process for network and proxy standards.
- Interface with external suppliers and partners to design and support network solutions.
- Participate in 24x7 on-call / on-duty rotation.
- Monitor network and proxy performance and system resource utilisation.
Requirements
- 6–10 years of experience in networking in complex, international environments.
- Strong knowledge of enterprise networking architecture and network security.
- Professional experience with Cisco technologies and Cisco ACI.
- Expert in LAN/WAN/MAN implementation and troubleshooting.
- Strong experience with firewalls (Fortinet and/or Check Point), VPN, IPSec and GRE tunnels.
- Proven expertise with Zscaler ZIA/ZPA and ZCC on corporate devices.
- Solid understanding of network and cloud connectivity design.
- Ability to analyse network traces (PCAP), Fiddler logs and HTTP/HTTPS headers.
- Knowledge of Python or another scripting language for automation.
- Fluent in French and English, written and spoken.
