Physchem Lab Analytical Scientist

Coopers Group AG seeks a Senior Physchem Lab Analytical Scientist in Wallis, CH, to lead physical and chemical analytical activities for clinical development and process validation.

This position acts as the primary Subject Matter Expert for physical and chemical techniques within the organization. The role is dedicated to supporting analytical activities throughout clinical development up to the Process Validation stage, ensuring scientific rigor and method compliance.

Responsibilities

• Assist with analytical tasks for clinical development, specifically focusing on method suitability, validation, verification, and transfer in line with GMP, ICH guidelines, and internal quality systems.
• Develop deep scientific expertise in physical and chemical technologies, ensuring alignment with pharmacopeia standards and global requirements.
• Drive technical innovation and promote best practices to enhance scientific understanding within the team.
• Design, execute, and interpret experiments for physical and chemical techniques to support method implementation and validation.
• Draft and manage validation protocols, transfer reports, and standard procedures for physical and chemical test methods.
• Analyze scientific data to draw accurate conclusions and support decision-making.
• Communicate high-quality information clearly to internal teams and external customers.
• Provide troubleshooting assistance and training for analytical instruments and methods.
• Work with the team to optimize laboratory processes and implement corrective measures.
• Lead laboratory investigations, manage change requests, and oversee CAPA implementation.
• Coordinate project tasks aligned with the Analytical Science team's objectives.

Requirements

• At least five years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, particularly in GMP environments, method transfer, and validation.
• A Bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific field.
• Business-fluent proficiency in English.
• Strong soft skills, including flexibility, critical thinking, customer service orientation, and effective communication.
• Practical knowledge of LIMS, Trackwise, and DMS tools.

Nice to have

• A Master's degree is preferred.
• Proficiency in German is considered an advantage.
