Production Associate

Pyrotek SA seeks an Entry-level Production Associate for on-site work in Switzerland. The role focuses on manufacturing ceramic fiber insulating shapes through various production and quality control tasks.

As a global leader in high-temperature materials, Pyrotek SA requires dedicated staff to transform raw ceramic substances into finished goods. This position supports the manufacturing workflow by handling production, inspection, and maintenance duties to ensure product quality and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Execute production tasks such as vacuum forming, mixing, decanting, assembling, inspecting, packaging, and operating CNC machinery.
• Interpret work orders and technical drawings to fabricate ceramic fiber insulating components.
• Prepare workstations and set up jobs according to specific instructions and blueprints.
• Evaluate product quality using precision instruments like calipers and micrometers.
• Conduct quality inspections and report any discrepancies to supervisors immediately.
• Log data regarding inspections, raw material consumption, and part quantities.
• Record time and job details using computer terminals.
• Alert management to any machine malfunctions or technical issues.
• Carry out basic preventative maintenance, including cleaning machine surfaces.
• Keep the workspace safe, clean, and organized at all times.
• Suggest improvements to processes to reduce waste and enhance efficiency.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• At least one year of experience in manufacturing or machine operation.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a valid forklift certification.
• Capacity to frequently lift and move materials weighing up to 40 pounds.
• Capacity to occasionally lift, maneuver, or handle materials weighing up to 60 pounds.
• Fluent English communication skills for verbal and written interactions.

Nice to have

• Prior manufacturing or machine operation experience is preferred.
