Solvias seeks a Senior Programme Manager to lead end-to-end delivery of customer programmes in a regulated CRO environment, acting as the primary liaison between clients and internal scientific and commercial teams.

In this senior role, the Programme Manager serves as the central point of contact for clients, bridging the gap between scientific operations, quality assurance, and commercial functions. The position requires leading complex, cross-functional initiatives within a highly regulated setting, ensuring that all customer programmes are delivered on time, within budget, and in strict compliance with quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the complete lifecycle of customer programmes, from initial planning through to final delivery within a Contract Research Organization (CRO) setting.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for clients, fostering professional, solution-focused communication throughout the engagement.
  • Coordinate efforts across operations, quality, and commercial departments to ensure seamless programme execution.
  • Define and control programme scope, schedules, resources, and dependencies to meet customer expectations.
  • Identify potential risks early, assess their impact, and implement effective mitigation strategies or escalations.
  • Track and report on programme performance against key performance indicators (KPIs), budgets, and contractual obligations.
  • Ensure all deliverables adhere to agreed-upon specifications, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Align internal teams and client stakeholders on priorities, expected outcomes, and timelines.
  • Maintain accurate programme documentation, data, and reporting records within internal management systems.
  • Manage programme budgets, track revenue, and ensure financial targets are met.
  • Assist commercial teams by providing input for customer proposals when required.
  • Facilitate client interactions, including project meetings, site visits, and audit preparations.
  • Establish robust governance structures, including clear communication channels and escalation pathways.
  • Drive continuous improvement by analyzing KPIs, capturing lessons learned, and enhancing processes.
  • Champion a customer-centric mindset in all interactions and delivery activities.

Requirements

  • A degree (BSc, MSc, or PhD) in Life Sciences.
  • At least 8 years of experience in the life sciences, pharmaceutical, or biotech industries.
  • Over 8 years of experience in programme or project management, including risk management and delivery in regulated environments.
  • Strong commercial awareness, with experience in contract and budget management.
  • Proven success in managing complex, multi-stakeholder programmes and key customer accounts across multiple sites.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, capable of engaging in complex discussions with executives and colleagues across different cultures.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain long-term, trust-based customer relationships.
  • Structured, results-driven, and solution-oriented approach with strong decision-making abilities and flexibility to adapt to stakeholder needs.
  • Collaborative team player with the ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams.

Nice to have

  • PMP certification or equivalent.
  • Experience working in a Contract Research Organization (CRO) or Contract Development & Manufacturing Organization (CDMO).
  • Experience with analytical services, laboratory operations, or CMC activities.
