HUBER+SUHNER seeks a Mid-level RF Development Engineer in Herisau to design high-frequency components and validate electrical performance using advanced simulation tools.
The company is looking for a specialist to join an innovation-focused team equipped with modern simulation and development technologies. In this role, you will help define the next generation of RF components and connectivity solutions for global markets, working on technologically advanced high-frequency systems.
Responsibilities
- Drive innovative product development initiatives following established internal processes.
- Design and refine RF components and assemblies, prioritizing superior electrical performance.
- Manage electrical design tasks, including simulations, verifications, and technical validation of RF solutions.
- Assist in creating new technologies, processes, and product concepts for advanced high-frequency uses.
- Identify and resolve technical issues concerning performance, quality, manufacturability, and product enhancements.
- Organize, execute, and record RF measurements, simulations, and testing campaigns.
- Provide signal integrity and PCB layout simulation support for high-speed and RF applications to internal teams and clients.
- Partner with Product Management, Market Management, Operations, suppliers, and customers across the full product lifecycle.
Requirements
- Master’s degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, RF Engineering, Microwave Engineering, or a closely related field.
- Deep knowledge of RF/Microwave Engineering, Electromagnetic Field Theory, Material Science, and Component Design.
- Practical experience with electromagnetic simulations and FEM-based tools like HFSS or CST.
- Familiarity with modern RF measurement technologies and laboratory equipment such as VNAs and PNAs.
- Fluent proficiency in English.
Nice to have
- Background in RF components, interconnect systems, or high-frequency assemblies.
- Understanding of signal integrity analysis and PCB layout simulations.
- Ability to communicate in German.
