Scientist, Antibody Developability

Adaptyv seeks a Senior Scientist to lead antibody developability efforts within its automated lab, combining wet-lab expertise with AI-driven infrastructure to deliver high-throughput assessment services.

Adaptyv is constructing an automated laboratory where AI agents conduct biological experiments, supported by infrastructure that connects artificial intelligence to physical laboratory operations. This position focuses on establishing and expanding the company's antibody developability capabilities, bridging experimental science with computational prediction to serve biopharmaceutical clients.

Responsibilities

• Design and validate a comprehensive assessment panel covering thermostability, aggregation, self-association, polyreactivity, solubility, and chemical liability.
• Transform the assay panel into a scalable, high-throughput service that clients can request.
• Collaborate with lab automation specialists to scale and automate assays for consistent, rapid results.
• Partner with software and machine learning teams to organize developability data and integrate it with computational models.
• Analyze experimental outcomes and guide clients on identifying risks and determining next engineering steps.
• Establish the scientific benchmarks for trusted and reported developability data.

Requirements

• Extensive practical experience in evaluating antibody developability.
• Industry background in antibody discovery, engineering, or development.
• Comprehensive understanding of factors influencing biologic developability.
• Proven ability to rapidly build new capabilities and drive initiatives forward.
• Experience collaborating across disciplines with automation engineers and software/ML professionals.

Nice to have

• Proficiency in data handling, including scripting and working with structured datasets.
