Senior DevOps Engineer (f/m/d)

Awin AG seeks a Senior DevOps Engineer to bridge development and operations, ensuring smooth product delivery and supporting engineering teams with cloud infrastructure in a hybrid role based in Switzerland.

This position serves as a critical link between development and operations teams, facilitating seamless product delivery. The engineer will support engineering groups by providing infrastructure expertise and will take a leading role in managing the full lifecycle of services and products.

Responsibilities

• Promote effective collaboration between development and operations departments.
• Provide engineering teams with necessary tools and knowledge for cloud environments.
• Oversee and execute complex cloud migration projects.
• Implement and promote Cloud Excellence standards.
• Facilitate knowledge sharing across different engineering domains.
• Advocate for the ongoing enhancement of DevOps methodologies.
• Create, deploy, and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
• Build and manage monitoring and alerting systems.
• Engage in tabletop exercises for incident response planning.
• Manage on-call schedules and rotations.
• Direct the Root Cause Analysis (RCA) process.
• Mentor and guide colleagues in technical practices.

Requirements

• At least five years of experience in a DevOps Engineer position or a comparable technical role.
• Deep knowledge of AWS cloud computing platforms.
• Strong proficiency with containerization technologies, specifically Docker.
• Ability to use scripting languages like Bash and Python for automation.
• Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
• Skilled in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) languages including Terraform, Terragrunt, CDK, and Cloudformation.
• Familiarity with monitoring and logging solutions like Datadog and Cloudwatch.
• Knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or CircleCI.
