BridgeBio Pharma seeks a Senior Director for International Health Economics and Outcomes Research to lead HEOR strategy and secure patient access across global markets.

Reporting to the VP of Market Access International, this position serves as a core member of the International Market Access team. The primary objective is to direct the global HEOR strategy, ensuring timely and sustainable patient access to the company’s therapeutic products through robust evidence generation and stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and steer the global HEOR strategy, aligning it with market access and launch goals across all therapeutic areas.
  • Oversee the full lifecycle of non-interventional studies, including registries and real-world evidence projects, from initial protocol design to final publication.
  • Engage early with key health technology assessment bodies and payers, such as NICE, G-BA, and HAS, to shape evidence strategies and support reimbursement dossiers.
  • Partner closely with Market Access, Medical Affairs, and Commercial teams to optimize value propositions during international product launches.
  • Apply health economic modeling and outcomes research insights to inform pricing and reimbursement strategies.
  • Manage external vendors, study budgets, and contracts, ensuring rigorous project management across multiple competing deadlines.

Requirements

  • Advanced degree in health economics, epidemiology, or a related public health field; typically 9+ years of experience with an MSc/MPH, or 7+ years with a PhD.
  • Proven track record leading HTA submissions and pricing negotiations in multiple international markets, with a strong preference for experience in rare diseases.
  • Direct experience interacting with major HTA organizations, including NICE, CADTH, PBAC, HAS, IQWiG/G-BA, and ICER.
  • Deep expertise in health economic modeling, patient-reported outcomes, statistics, and the design, implementation, and analysis of real-world evidence studies.
  • Ability to independently manage complex, cross-functional, and multicultural teams on an international scale.
  • Strong project management skills, including vendor management, budgeting, and the ability to handle shifting priorities and tight deadlines.
  • Capacity to influence senior stakeholders across medical, clinical, and commercial functions within a matrix organization.
  • Willingness to travel internationally for approximately 10% of working time.
