BridgeBio Pharma seeks a Senior Director of Medical Affairs, International to lead regional medical strategy for key pipeline assets across Europe, focusing on rare disease innovation and scientific engagement.

This regional position serves as a scientific and strategic partner for one of the company’s primary pipeline assets, driving medical strategy and execution across Europe. The role operates at the forefront of rare disease innovation, translating complex science into actionable medical strategies that support product launches and enhance patient outcomes. The incumbent acts as a trusted liaison across regions and functions, engaging with healthcare professionals, patient organizations, and key stakeholders to advance the company’s mission.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, lead, and manage the regional medical strategy and tactical execution for all company assets, including new product launches.
  • Ensure regional and country-level launch readiness by enhancing medical capabilities, facilitating scientific exchange, and promoting disease education.
  • Advocate for a deep understanding of rare diseases, unmet medical needs, and patient journeys to inform product positioning and lifecycle management.
  • Represent regional and market insights in global forums, contributing to evidence generation strategies and scientific communications.
  • Drive high-impact scientific engagement with scientific opinion leaders, expert centers, academic institutions, and professional societies.
  • Collect and synthesize key insights from healthcare professionals to inform medical and brand strategies.
  • Collaborate with country medical teams to support local launches, guide annual medical planning, and act as a liaison between country teams and other functions.
  • Build and maintain a robust knowledge base and scientific expertise in assigned therapeutic areas and products, including training cross-functional teams.
  • Stay current with applicable pharmaceutical guidelines, regulations, and company policies, processes, and systems.

Requirements

  • University degree in life sciences, pharmacy, medicine, dentistry, or veterinary medicine.
  • 10-15 years of experience in local, regional, or global medical affairs roles within biotech or pharma.
  • Proven track record in successful launches, evidence generation, publications, external medical communication, and collaboration with scientific opinion leaders.
  • Expertise in rare diseases is critical, or extensive experience across innovative therapeutic areas such as cardiovascular, neuromuscular, or oncology.
  • Fluent proficiency in English.
  • Ability to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
