Abbott seeks a Senior Global HEOR & Payer Evidence Lead in Basel to drive access strategies for oncology and immunology therapies across emerging markets.
This Senior Manager position sits within the Established Pharmaceutical Division and reports directly to the Director of Global HEOR. The primary objective is to facilitate patient access to critical treatments in oncology and immunology by leading evidence generation initiatives across key emerging regions, including Latin America, Asia-Pacific, and Africa.
Responsibilities
- Manage external partnerships for HEOR projects, guaranteeing scientific quality and adherence to deadlines.
- Develop country-specific HEOR strategies and provide mentorship to local teams to enhance their capabilities.
- Customize economic models and direct Real-World Evidence studies to address the specific needs of various markets.
- Convert complex analytical data into persuasive value narratives for Health Technology Assessment submissions and payer discussions.
- Collaborate with internal cross-functional groups and external stakeholders to refine global access strategies.
- Oversee publication strategies and represent the HEOR function at international medical congresses.
Requirements
- Minimum of eight years in biotech, pharmaceutical, or healthcare sectors, with a strong emphasis on Health Economics or Market Access.
- Demonstrated experience working across multiple global regions, with particular expertise in emerging markets.
- Comprehensive understanding of healthcare systems and current trends in major HTA countries as well as emerging economies.
- Proficiency in health economic modeling techniques and Real-World Evidence methodologies.
- Track record of leading cross-functional or international initiatives.
- Advanced degree (MSc, PhD, PharmD, or MPH) in health economics, public health, epidemiology, or a related discipline.
