Senior Financial Compliance Auditor

Roche seeks a Senior Financial Compliance Auditor in Basel to manage ICFR testing and act as a trusted advisor for financial compliance risks.

This position serves as a subject matter expert and trusted advisor within the Financial Compliance Team. The role involves partnering with core businesses and group functions to proactively identify and manage financial compliance risks across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute testing procedures to evaluate the effectiveness of Internal Control over Financial Reporting (ICFR) for group entities and headquarters functions.
• Contribute to financial risk assessments and determine the scope for ICFR activities.
• Lead and support strategic action plans aimed at addressing identified process or control deficiencies.
• Collaborate with group and divisional business process management teams on financial compliance issues.
• Promote best practices by organizing and delivering training sessions for finance staff on ICFR topics.

Requirements

• A university degree in Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting.
• Between three and five years of experience in external auditing, preferably from a Big 4 firm, or direct finance experience.
• Professional certification such as a CPA or an equivalent qualification.
• Full professional fluency in English, both written and verbal.

Nice to have

• Prior work experience within the healthcare or pharmaceutical sectors.
• Ability to communicate in languages other than English.
