SimplyVision GmbH seeks a Senior Go Engineer in Basel for a hybrid contract role focused on developing Kubernetes Operators and CRDs. The position emphasizes software engineering over traditional DevOps tasks.

This position centers on a high-impact project where the primary focus is software engineering within the Kubernetes ecosystem. The role involves writing Operators and Custom Resource Definitions (CRDs) rather than handling classic DevOps or SRE responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Design and build custom Kubernetes Operators in Go to streamline complex application lifecycles.
• Expand the Kubernetes API by creating CRDs and developing controllers with controller-runtime or Kubebuilder.
• Develop the core Go logic responsible for managing both stateful and stateless applications inside the cluster.
• Ensure robust error handling, implement reconciliation loops, and write thorough unit and integration tests for the operators.

Requirements

• Strong grasp of Go internals, concurrency mechanisms, and distributed systems patterns.
• Demonstrated experience in building and deploying Kubernetes Operators in production settings.
