Bunge seeks a Senior Manager to lead global trade execution transformation and integration, focusing on cost reduction, process optimization, and integration of Viterra operations into BBS. Based in Bhurai, CH, this full-time onsite role requires extensive experience in supply chain and global transformation initiatives.
This role supports the Director of Transformation and oversees global laytime activities within Bunge Freight, as well as trade execution for dry agricultural commodities across various business units. It is responsible for driving process improvements and integrating operations from Viterra into the BBS structure.
Responsibilities
- Lead global transformation initiatives to reduce costs in global trade execution (GTE) processes.
- Establish new delivery capabilities for domestic execution and freight at BBS.
- Set up delivery systems for new commodities such as cotton and sugar within BBS.
- Drive programs to lower working capital needs for Bunge’s trade operations.
- Integrate trade operations from Viterra into the BBS organizational structure.
- Define the future operating model for GTE processes at BBS.
- Manage all transition efforts for consolidating GTE processes under BBS.
- Ensure smooth stabilization of Viterra processes at BBS to maintain business continuity.
- Identify and lead key cost-reduction programs for GTE operations.
- Develop and maintain KPIs and performance metrics to improve business outcomes, collaborating with senior stakeholders on goals related to cost, speed, and quality.
- Promote continuous improvement by identifying inefficiencies and cost-saving opportunities through people, processes, tools, and technology.
- Use technology and tools to enhance operational agility and service delivery effectiveness.
- Manage, coach, and develop high-performing teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Support the growth of supply chain and logistics capabilities within GBS through learning and development initiatives.
- Communicate GBS transformation capabilities to the broader organization to increase adoption across businesses and countries.
- Collaborate effectively with other functions and work streams to ensure alignment.
- Achieve integration savings of USD 8–10 million annually as outlined in the business case.
- Ensure a seamless transition of Viterra operations to BBS.
- Reduce GTE operational costs by 25–30% over the next two years.
- Shorten the cash cycle for trade flows across value chains by 2–3 days.
- Oversee smooth go-live and stabilization of Viterra processes at BBS.
Requirements
- Postgraduate degree (preferably MBA) in International Business or Supply Chain, with at least 12 years of experience, including 7–8 years in core transformation roles leading global initiatives.
- Proven success in managing large-scale global programs and delivering cost savings for the organization.
- Expertise in international logistics operations and EXIM documentation.
- Experience in a Shared Services Centre environment.
- Track record of delivering annual cost savings.
- Familiarity with workflow tools and document imaging systems.
- Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Nice to have
- Experience working across multiple countries and geographies is advantageous.
- Prior strategic roles managing large teams involved in global agricultural commodity execution processes.
