Sonova seeks a Senior Manager for Signal Processing to lead RIC and BTE product development in Staefa, CH. The role combines technical leadership with people management to deliver scalable, high-quality software solutions.
This position is responsible for guiding the creation and implementation of signal processing features for RIC and BTE hearing aids. The role ensures that software solutions meet quality standards and are ready for global platforms while providing technical and managerial direction to the team.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the design, development, and integration of signal processing capabilities for hearing systems.
- Serve as the primary technical authority for signal processing implementation decisions.
- Promote code reuse, platform scalability, and product readiness across various brands and devices.
- Coordinate cross-departmental alignment and facilitate decision-making processes.
- Partner with Product Management and Project Leaders to maintain a customer-centric approach and market success.
- Manage, mentor, and develop a team of software engineers, including succession planning.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Demonstrated leadership experience in software development and people management within complex R&D settings.
- Extensive background in delivering software features across multiple platforms, product generations, and releases.
- Deep knowledge of Digital Signal Processing (DSP), system integration, fitting software systems, and regulated product development.
- Ability to navigate ambiguity while balancing innovation, scalability, quality, and long-term platform value.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with technical, audiological, and business stakeholders.
- Experience working in international, multi-site, and cross-functional environments.
- Fluent English proficiency.
