SonarSource seeks a Senior Software Engineer (Java) in Geneva to architect backend systems for verified autonomous remediation, addressing the 'Trust Gap' in AI-generated code. The role involves building scalable, secure, and reliable systems for AI code review and remediation.
This role is central to SonarSource’s mission of advancing agent-centric software development and leading in AI code review. It focuses on creating the backbone for verified autonomous remediation, solving the 'Trust Gap' by designing systems that ensure safety and reliability in AI-generated code.
Responsibilities
- Design the 'Unified Remediation Engine' to handle high-throughput decision-making for remediation tasks.
- Develop a resilient, scalable agent architecture by moving research prototypes into production-grade services.
- Create secure execution environments to safely run untrusted AI-generated code, solving the 'Sandboxing' challenge.
- Implement safety features such as Circuit Breakers and optimize cost-performance trade-offs to ensure system reliability.
- Support team growth by mentoring squad members and collaborating with the Research team to drive technical innovation.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience developing scalable, fault-tolerant systems using AWS infrastructure.
- Strong skills in Java and Python, with deep expertise in one and solid ability in the other.
- Experience with asynchronous, event-driven systems, message queues, and sandboxed execution environments.
- Hands-on experience building applications that integrate and orchestrate LLMs (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic, or open-source hosted models).
- Data-focused approach with experience in telemetry pipelines and defining meaningful performance metrics.
