C++ AI Automation Software Development Engineer, Ring

Amazon Switzerland seeks a Senior C++ AI Automation Software Development Engineer to design agentic workflows and firmware subsystems in an on-site, continuous deployment environment.

This position focuses on building and sustaining agentic workflows that fundamentally change how developers interact with their tools. The role involves owning firmware subsystems and operating within a continuous deployment framework to ensure rapid, reliable delivery of AI-powered solutions.

Responsibilities

• Create and deploy AI-driven workflows that boost developer efficiency by automating routine activities.
• Address technical support tickets from developers and enhance the overall stability and speed of the systems.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and users to align software outputs with business goals and customer needs.
• Produce comprehensive documentation covering architecture, testing protocols, security measures, and functional specifications.
• Manage the entire software development lifecycle, from initial scoping and design through coding, testing, deployment, and ongoing maintenance.

Requirements

• Proven track record in designing and architecting scalable, reliable systems using established design patterns.
• Professional software engineering experience outside of internship roles.
• Strong proficiency in at least one modern programming language, such as C++, Java, or C#, with a solid grasp of object-oriented principles.

Nice to have

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a comparable qualification.
• Hands-on experience managing the full software development lifecycle, including adherence to coding standards, peer code reviews, source control, build automation, testing, and operational tasks.
