Site Reliability Engineer

Nozominetworks seeks a Mid-level Site Reliability Engineer in Mendrisio, CH, to support a global engineering team in maintaining cloud service availability, performance, and incident response.

This position contributes to a worldwide engineering group tasked with ensuring the reliability, speed, and monitoring of cloud services, while also handling incident management.

Responsibilities

• Develop and upkeep cloud infrastructure alongside associated services.
• Create tools and processes that boost service availability, performance, and stability.
• Champion and deploy automation for application deployment, maintenance, and operational tasks.
• Diagnose and resolve problems spanning the full technology stack, including networks, operating systems, and applications.
• Optimize cloud service performance and implement cost-reduction strategies.
• Lead post-incident reviews within a blame-free environment.
• Take part in scheduled on-call rotations.

Requirements

• Demonstrated professional background as an SRE, DevOps specialist, or Cloud engineer.
• Extensive practical experience working with Kubernetes.
• Hands-on familiarity with at least one major cloud platform, ideally AWS.
• Solid proficiency in at least one programming language such as Ruby, Python, or Go.
• Experience creating infrastructure as code using Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Background in designing CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or comparable tools.
• Proven track record of integrating AI-enabled tools into daily workflows to boost efficiency, quality, or decision-making.
• Ability to leverage AI-assisted tools effectively while maintaining professional judgment and accountability for results.
