Software and Digital Intern

Onward Medical seeks a Software and Digital Intern in Lausanne to develop Android apps and cloud services for spinal cord injury therapy platforms. Candidates must have Kotlin/Java skills and valid Swiss work eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Help design and build medical device software subsystems using Kotlin for Android devices.
• Conduct investigations, analysis, debugging, and testing to ensure systems comply with performance and safety standards.
• Develop and enhance features that connect mobile applications with secure cloud backend services.
• Support and improve tools for mobile device deployment, fleet management, and other infrastructure solutions.

Requirements

• Familiarity with Android or Windows operating systems.
• Programming proficiency in Kotlin, .NET, C#, or Java.
• Experience with Python or other scripting languages.
• Hands-on experience with automated testing frameworks like Espresso, Cucumber, or Robolectric.
• Knowledge of CI/CD setups.
• Advanced English language skills.
• Must hold a valid Swiss work or student permit, or be eligible to work in Switzerland (Swiss or EU/EFTA citizenship).
