Michael Page seeks a mid-level Software Engineer in Lausanne to build complex backend systems using Python and C++ within a hybrid work model.

This position supports a growing engineering team in Lausanne by focusing on the development of high-impact applications and complex systems. The role primarily involves backend development but may also include exposure to UI and 3D visualization technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Create, maintain, and improve software solutions using Python and C++.
  • Help design and implement complex, distributed, or real-time system architectures.
  • Work with diverse teams to ensure solutions are robust and scalable.
  • Produce clean, well-documented, and maintainable code.
  • Engage in code reviews to help improve overall engineering standards.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize existing software systems.
  • Support testing, validation, and quality assurance activities.

Requirements

  • A degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
  • At least 3 years of professional experience in software development.
  • Strong skills in Python 3 and solid experience with C++.
  • Background in developing software for complex, distributed, or real-time environments.
  • Understanding of software testing, maintainability, and quality assurance practices.
  • Familiarity with Git and structured development workflows.
  • Excellent communication skills in English.
