Siemens seeks a Mid-level Software Engineer for its MR Digitalization team in Switzerland. The role focuses on pre-development, innovation, and building prototypes for MR scanner technologies using Python, C#, C++, and ML.
This position sits within the MR Digitalization team at Siemens, where the primary focus is on pre-development and innovation for magnetic resonance scanner technologies. The engineer will drive technical exploration from initial concept through to validated implementation.
Responsibilities
- Create independent prototypes and proof-of-concepts to test new algorithms, product ideas, and technologies.
- Manage technical projects from start to finish, including concept exploration, solution design, implementation, and validation.
- Utilize AI-assisted engineering tools to speed up development, debugging, and problem-solving processes.
- Produce comprehensive documentation for technical specifications, design choices, prototype results, and application guides.
Requirements
- Possess 4 to 6 years of professional experience in software design and development.
- Hold a B.E., B.Tech., or M. Tech. degree in Biomedical Engineering, Computer Science, Electronics, or a related field.
- Demonstrate strong programming proficiency in Python.
- Have hands-on experience with Machine Learning and CUDA, ideally applied to image or signal processing.
- Show strong analytical abilities and systems-thinking skills to tackle complex technical challenges.
- Exhibit strong ownership and accountability, working effectively with minimal supervision.
- Communicate and collaborate well within cross-functional and global teams.
Nice to have
- Experience with C# and C++ is preferred.
- Familiarity with Docker, containerization, Azure DevOps, and cloud platforms is advantageous.
- Background in medical imaging data, such as MRI or DICOM, is a plus.
- High learning agility and curiosity to adopt emerging technologies and engineering practices.
