Philip Morris Services SA seeks a Senior Manager for Risk Control & Loss Prevention in Lausanne. This hybrid role supports global operations by strengthening risk resilience and informing strategic decisions.
Positioned within the Corporate Treasury department, this role is dedicated to fortifying risk control and loss prevention across the company’s factories, warehouses, and key business operations worldwide. The position plays a vital part in enhancing operational resilience and providing essential insights for strategic planning.
Responsibilities
- Lead and synchronize worldwide initiatives focused on risk control and loss prevention.
- Manage risk engineering services provided by insurers for manufacturing sites, storage facilities, and select third-party logistics partners.
- Analyze, summarize, and share findings from risk surveys along with actionable improvement recommendations.
- Offer technical guidance and design input for factory upgrades, new construction projects, and significant capital investments.
- Highlight critical Maximum Foreseeable Loss scenarios and their impact on insurance coverage.
- Organize insurer support for risk engineering during major development projects.
- Create and conduct training sessions to educate staff on risk control measures.
- Assist in the renewal process for corporate insurance programs.
- Utilize risk engineering data to negotiate insurance premiums, coverage terms, and prioritize risk improvements.
- Apply risk engineering expertise during the claims handling process.
- Build analytical tools, benchmarks, and dashboards to monitor loss trends and track progress.
- Provide advisory support, technical input, and training to global functions and affiliates on risk management.
- Employ AI and other technological tools to ensure high-quality risk data and improve KPI dashboards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Risk Management, Insurance, or a related discipline.
- Between 5 and 10 years of professional experience in engineering, risk engineering, loss prevention, industrial operations, or insurance.
- Fluent proficiency in written and spoken English.
