Forum Fribourg SA seeks a Junior Swiss Public Affairs Coordinator in Geneva. The role supports government relations, event logistics, and strategic engagement with Swiss stakeholders.
This position serves as a key support function within the Swiss Public Affairs Team, which is tasked with maintaining trusted relationships between the organization and Switzerland through government engagement and public interaction. The coordinator acts as an interface between the team and other internal departments, reporting directly to the Head of Swiss Public Affairs while collaborating with specialists and senior leadership.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate project activities, including scheduling meetings, recording minutes, and drafting correspondence.
- Handle logistics and planning for team events, with a focus on the Annual Meeting.
- Facilitate connections between the Swiss Public Affairs Team, other internal groups, and external partners.
- Assist in the development and execution of strategies to strengthen engagement with Switzerland.
- Streamline team workflows, create briefing materials, and maintain internal documentation systems.
- Track developments in Swiss politics, media coverage, and the Forum’s Editorial Unit.
- Organize visits and meetings with government officials, parliamentarians, and other key stakeholders.
- Manage administrative tasks such as travel bookings, expense reports, and invoices.
- Plan and execute public-facing events.
- Identify current initiatives and potential future collaboration opportunities.
- Ensure internal alignment and follow-up with thematic teams across the organization.
- Create communication materials for various purposes.
- Prepare logistical and informational support for Swiss Delegations both domestically and internationally.
Requirements
- A university degree.
- One to two years of experience in project coordination, event management, or administrative roles.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Fluency in English, both spoken and written.
- Native-level proficiency in Swiss German and/or German.
- Competence in using MS Office applications.
- High attention to detail, with strong organizational, interpersonal, and time-management skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
- Analytical mindset with data literacy.
Nice to have
- Knowledge of additional Swiss national languages.
- Experience using digital platforms and tools.
