Destinusgroup in Zürich seeks a mid-level Technical Support Specialist to maintain and support the company’s IT infrastructure. The role involves troubleshooting hardware and software, managing user accounts, and ensuring smooth daily operations for teams working on advanced Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs).
This role serves as the primary technical support for Destinusgroup’s daily operations, ensuring teams remain connected and equipped. It involves maintaining the local office’s IT environment, supporting users with corporate systems, and contributing to the company’s mission of advancing defense technology through innovative aerospace solutions.
Responsibilities
- Assist users with hardware and software issues via online and in-person support
- Conduct initial troubleshooting for system and device malfunctions
- Restore computers and systems to operational status, excluding major repairs
- Configure new laptops and desktops on Windows, macOS, and Linux platforms
- Install and connect office devices such as printers and scanners to the network
- Monitor and, when needed, adjust network equipment to maintain performance
- Coordinate the repair and return of faulty equipment
- Support procurement by defining equipment needs and receiving deliveries
- Manage user accounts within corporate information systems
- Assign access rights for company IT resources
- Monitor system performance, network stability, and user activity
- Develop user guides to help staff use software and equipment effectively
Requirements
- A degree in information technology or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a technical support role with diverse responsibilities
- Strong skills in Linux installation and administration
- Experience with virtualization of computing resources
- Background in supporting engineering software such as CAD, PLM, and CFD
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365 and Active Directory (user and group management)
- Ability to set up and manage network devices including switches and firewalls
- Experience supporting remote users through remote tools and communication platforms
- Fluent English communication skills
