BioMarin Pharmaceutical Inc. (Swiss Office) seeks a Tender Associate for a fixed-term role to manage public procurement cycles, ensure regulatory compliance, and handle bid submissions in Switzerland.
The company is looking for a professional to oversee the entire lifecycle of public tenders, from initial opportunity identification to final contract management. This position serves as a key connector between internal departments like Market Access, Legal, and Sales, as well as external public procurement bodies, ensuring all activities adhere to the Public Procurement Act (LCSP) and industry regulations.
Responsibilities
- Monitor official platforms to identify and track relevant tender opportunities.
- Evaluate technical and administrative specifications (PCAP and PPT) to determine feasibility and potential risks.
- Collaborate with Market Access, Regulatory, Legal, and commercial teams to collect necessary documentation.
- Prepare and compile administrative, technical, and financial bid documents.
- Calculate pricing and financial terms in alignment with commercial strategies.
- Submit bids through electronic public procurement platforms.
- Manage deadlines for submissions, document corrections, and appeals.
- Track tender status, including award decisions and committee proceedings.
- Handle awarded contracts, including renewals, extensions, and term modifications.
- Communicate with hospital pharmacy departments, procurement units, and regional health authorities (CCAA).
- Analyze historical award prices and competitor data for competitive intelligence.
- Report on tender outcomes and conduct root-cause analysis for wins and losses.
- Manage donations, grants, and attendance at HCP congresses.
- Process invoices and expense reports related to Cencora/Arvatro.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in administration, accounting, or a related field.
- 2-3 years of experience in the pharmaceutical or healthcare sector.
- Proven ability to navigate complex organizational and regulatory environments.
- Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Experience working effectively with all levels of management and staff.
- Excellent problem-solving and organizational capabilities.
- Ability to collaborate with others to address complex issues.
- Self-motivated with strong prioritization and decision-making skills.
- Customer-oriented mindset.
- Proficiency in PowerPoint, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
- Willingness to grow and develop within the company.
- Advanced English proficiency.
- Intermediate Portuguese proficiency.
Nice to have
- Experience with SAP (OTC), VIVA EVENT, ICERTIS, COUPA, and PUBLICS TENDER.
- Background in negotiating with tender entities.
