Hexagon Robotics seeks a Test & Verification Engineer in Zürich to validate humanoid robots for industrial use, ensuring reliability through structured testing and hardware-software integration.
This position focuses on guaranteeing that robotic systems operate reliably in real-world industrial settings. The role blends hands-on robotics work with rigorous engineering standards to build and sustain a robust testing capability.
Responsibilities
- Plan and carry out tests at the hardware, software, integration, and system levels for robotic products.
- Develop clear, repeatable test procedures, plans, and acceptance criteria.
- Perform tests on physical robotic units and document results in a structured, traceable way.
- Detect, reproduce, and analyze failures or unexpected system behaviors.
- Share findings with development teams to aid root-cause analysis.
- Monitor issues until resolution and verify that corrective actions are effective.
- Assist in release verification and readiness evaluations.
- Enhance test processes, coverage, and efficiency over time.
- Collaborate with the QA team to set up and maintain robotics test environments and validation facilities.
- Oversee test benches, robots, sensors, tools, and related equipment.
- Keep engineering test systems operational, calibrated, documented, and ready for use.
- Coordinate equipment usage, maintenance schedules, and inventory management.
Requirements
- A degree in Robotics, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Automation, or a related discipline.
- Proven experience testing complex electromechanical or robotic systems.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical capabilities.
- Ability to work with hardware, sensors, embedded systems, networking, and software-controlled devices.
- Understanding of software development, release, and deployment processes.
- Familiarity with Linux-based systems.
- Experience using laboratory and diagnostic equipment.

- Experience with scripting, automation, ROS/ROS2, Python, or similar technologies.
