Trade Compliance Specialist

Coopers Group AG seeks a Trade Compliance Specialist in Rotkreuz to manage export control, IMCP, and SAP GTS operations on-site.

This position focuses on maintaining robust export control standards at the Rotkreuz site. The specialist will lead the development and refinement of the Internal Management & Compliance Program while serving as the primary point of contact for trade compliance matters within the organization.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with the Local Export Control Officer to guarantee site-wide adherence to export regulations.
• Lead the creation, oversight, and continuous improvement of the Internal Management & Compliance Program.
• Perform product classification and execute sanctions, embargo, and dual-use verifications using SAP GTS.
• Manage the full lifecycle of export licenses, including applications and administration with SECO.
• Establish and optimize foreign trade workflows, while conducting internal training to promote compliance awareness.
• Serve as the internal expert for trade compliance issues and represent these interests in local and global initiatives.
• Monitor regulatory changes and ensure smooth execution during audits and authority interactions.

Requirements

• A completed commercial education combined with substantial professional experience in import, export, or trade sectors.
• Prior work experience within an international industrial setting.
• Comprehensive understanding of Swiss, European, and global export control laws.
• Strong analytical abilities, independence, and effective communication skills, paired with a collaborative approach.
• Fluency in both German and English at an advanced level.

Nice to have

• Proficient user skills in SAP GTS and MS Office applications.
• Knowledge of US Export Control regulations, specifically EAR, is considered beneficial.
