VIE - Junior Project Engineering Manager / Junior Product Manager (f/m/d)

Alstom seeks a Junior Project Engineering Manager for a VIE role in Zürich, focusing on international traction projects, reporting automation, and cross-functional coordination.

This VIE (Volontariat d'Entreprise) position places the candidate within the Traction division, reporting directly to the Traction PrEM Manager. The primary purpose is to deliver international traction projects by overseeing engineering progress, standardizing reporting processes, and ensuring alignment across global teams.

Responsibilities

• Monitor engineering progress and project status alongside the Project Engineering Manager.
• Collaborate with international teams to maintain accurate and timely project dashboards.
• Follow up with team members to ensure reporting data is precise and current.
• Manage checklists to evaluate project design maturity and track key deliverables.
• Facilitate communication and knowledge exchange among project stakeholders.
• Prepare project reports and documentation to support decision-making processes.
• Implement and automate new standards for project reporting.
• Align and standardize reporting practices with other sites in France.
• Plan, monitor, and control end-to-end project activities, including scope, schedule, resources, and costs.
• Coordinate cross-functional execution objectives and deliverables.
• Lead teams toward achieving project goals and synchronize stakeholder efforts.
• Alert management to deviations affecting project objectives and contribute to lessons learned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering.
• Proficiency in PowerBI, PowerAutomate, or SharePoint, including SharePoint lists.
