Synpulse seeks a Master's student or recent graduate for an AI Engineering internship in Zurich. The role focuses on building LLM-based agents and RAG solutions for financial clients, with a pathway to permanent employment.
This internship serves as a development pipeline for future AI Engineers at Synpulse. Interns join the Zurich-based AI Engineering team to create innovative solutions for major financial institutions. High performers who complete the program successfully are considered for permanent positions within the company.
Responsibilities
- Create and build AI-powered applications and intelligent software systems
- Construct AI Agents leveraging modern Large Language Models (LLMs)
- Develop prototypes for new AI use cases, moving from initial concept to working implementation
- Implement Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures
- Investigate emerging AI technologies to assess their practical utility
- Process and analyze both structured and unstructured data sets
- Partner with AI Engineers, Software Engineers, and Consultants in international settings
- Support client deliverables and internal innovation efforts
- Record technical decisions and help refine engineering standards
Requirements
- Currently in the final year of a Master's program or recently graduated with a degree in Computer Science, AI, Machine Learning, Data Science, Robotics, Mathematics, Physics, or a related quantitative engineering field
- Strong academic performance from a recognized university or university of applied sciences
- Proficient programming abilities in Python
- Genuine interest in Artificial Intelligence and software development
- Hands-on experience with Machine Learning or Generative AI gained through academic coursework or personal projects
- Solid analytical reasoning and problem-solving capabilities
- Self-motivated, curious attitude with a strong desire to learn
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
- Fluency in both English and German
