Assistant Directeur Financier

Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group seeks a Senior Assistant Director of Finance in Geneva to lead financial controls, reporting, and team supervision in a luxury hospitality setting.

This senior position serves as a key component of the Finance department, reporting directly to the Director of Finance. The role is central to executing financial strategy, maintaining operational compliance, and driving the hotel's overall commercial success through rigorous financial oversight.

Responsibilities

• Implement and refine accounting procedures and financial controls to align with Group standards and Swiss legal requirements.
• Analyze financial data and prepare reports to pinpoint areas for improving profitability.
• Guide and mentor the Accounting team to guarantee efficient and seamless financial workflows.
• Collaborate on generating monthly and annual financial statements, forecasts, and analytical reviews per MOHG guidelines.
• Track income and expenses, ensuring all postings are precise and reconciliations are completed promptly.
• Direct the deployment and ongoing review of internal controls covering procurement, cash management, payroll, and inventory.
• Support budgeting, capital planning, and forecasting efforts by delivering detailed analysis and KPI reports.
• Handle intercompany accounting tasks and perform balance sheet reconciliations for all properties.
• Prepare financial reports in compliance with IFRS standards on a monthly and yearly basis.

Requirements

• Proven professional background in finance, preferably within the luxury hospitality industry.
• Strong organizational abilities paired with a structured and analytical work style.
• Comprehensive knowledge of financial reporting, including P&L, balance sheets, and forecasting.
• Native-level fluency in both French and English, for written and verbal communication.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, enabling successful cross-departmental collaboration.

Nice to have

• Advanced proficiency in MS Excel.
• Experience with hotel management systems such as SUN, Hyperion, and Workday (People+).
