Chef de Partie / Cook - Nestlé Research

Nestlé Research in Lausanne seeks a Chef de Partie to deliver high-quality culinary experiences within a scientific innovation environment, requiring fluent French and strong kitchen expertise.

This position sits within Nestlé Research, a division dedicated to scientific breakthroughs and innovation. The Chef de Partie works closely with the Sous Chef, Head Chef, and the broader Food and Beverage team to ensure exceptional culinary standards and smooth daily operations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and present dishes that strictly adhere to recipe specifications, portion sizes, and visual presentation standards.
• Manage station readiness and workflow to guarantee seamless service execution during all shifts.
• Uphold rigorous hygiene and food safety protocols through consistent, organized daily cleaning and operational habits.
• Manage inventory, stock levels, and ordering processes to minimize waste, control costs, and meet operational demands.
• Propose innovative ideas for menu enhancements and kitchen process improvements to boost quality and guest satisfaction.
• Provide reliable support to colleagues, apprentices, and cross-functional teams, fostering a collaborative and professional atmosphere.

Requirements

• Minimum of six years of professional experience in fine dining or luxury hospitality settings, including exposure to high-volume and banqueting operations.
• Proven ability to maintain strict food safety, hygiene, and workstation organization standards in a fast-paced kitchen.
• Fluent proficiency in spoken and written French.
• Competent command of the English language.
