Communication & Exhibitions Specialist (CDD 6 months)

Secheron S.A. in Geneva seeks a Communication & Exhibitions Specialist for a 6-month CDD contract within its Electrical Safety Solutions unit. The role involves managing brand communications, social media, press releases, and coordinating trade shows and events, with potential for extension.

The role is part of the Electrical Safety Solutions unit at Secheron S.A., a global leader in high-power electrical equipment with over 140 years of Swiss engineering heritage. The specialist will support communication and exhibition activities for critical infrastructure protection components, with a 6-month contract in Geneva that may extend or lead to permanent integration.

Responsibilities

• Oversee content creation and distribution for social media and press releases under the Electrical Safety Solutions brand.
• Maintain consistent brand messaging across all communication platforms.
• Work with marketing and sales teams to align communication strategies with business objectives.
• Plan and execute trade shows, exhibitions, and corporate events.
• Handle logistics such as booth design, materials, vendor coordination, and budget management when needed.
• Coordinate with external agencies and suppliers under the SHG Marketing Team’s umbrella.
• Supervise on-site event operations to ensure smooth execution.
• Create promotional materials including presentations and digital assets.
• Support product launches and marketing campaigns through integrated event and communication planning.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and deliverables for communication and exhibition initiatives.
• Communicate with internal departments and external partners.
• Assess the effectiveness of events and communication efforts using KPIs and performance reports.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in B2B communications for mechanical or electrical engineering, including event or exhibition management.
• Proven experience in organizing trade shows or large-scale events.
• Strong project and organizational management skills.
• Familiarity with digital tools such as CMS and social media platforms.
• Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management abilities.
• Capacity to handle multiple projects under pressure.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% of the year.
• Proficient in English.

Nice to have

• Advanced degree (Master’s) preferred.
• Knowledge of German or French is beneficial.
