Field Service Technician, Mechanical, FFG/DRO - BASED IN CANADA (Toronto, Montreal, Ottawa)

Bobst seeks a Mid-level Field Service Technician (Mechanical) based in Canada to support Corrugated Board and Flexo Folder Gluer product lines through installation, repair, and customer training.

This position serves as the primary technical representative for the BOBST product range, acting as a key member of a global service network. The technician focuses on the Corrugated Board, Flexo Folder Gluer, and Rotary Die-Cutting equipment, ensuring high-quality support for clients across Canada and the US.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical and electrical services, including installing new machinery, relocating existing units, and conducting preventative maintenance.
• Diagnose equipment faults within customer facilities and recommend appropriate repair or maintenance solutions.
• Manage the ordering of necessary parts to support installation and repair tasks.
• Deliver comprehensive training to customers on machine operation and care.
• Ensure all customer expectations are met and clarified at every stage of service engagement.
• Provide efficient and timely repairs and installations, primarily for the Corrugated Board product line.

Requirements

• At least five years of experience as a Mechanic in the packaging or finishing converting industry, specifically with Flexo folder-gluers.
• Educational background in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, or a related technical field from a college or technical school.
• Strong proficiency with the metric system.
• Willingness and ability to travel extensively throughout Canada and the United States.
• Residence within one hour of a major international airport.
• Fluent command of the English language.
