Field Service Technician

Pyrotek SA seeks a Field Service Technician to provide technical and sales support for high-temperature materials. The role involves significant travel and remote work within the SNIF team.

As a member of the SNIF team at Pyrotek, a global leader in high-temperature materials, this position focuses on delivering technical and sales assistance to clients. The role balances remote work with necessary travel to ensure customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Offer technical and sales assistance to clients, including assessing warranty claims.
• Plan and organize customer visits and project tasks to reduce travel costs and meet deadlines.
• Support Engineering and Manufacturing teams with design suggestions and new equipment inspections.
• Address inquiries from customers and vendors, clarifying complex technical issues and solutions.
• Deliver remote and on-site technical support, including system commissioning, staff training, and troubleshooting.
• Interpret operating manuals, parts lists, blueprints, and technical drawings.
• Conduct inspections and tests on materials and machinery, such as instrument loop checks and safety verifications.
• Verify part dimensions to ensure they meet specified requirements.
• Draft written procedures and recommended practices for unit operation and maintenance.

Requirements

• At least three years of field service support experience with hands-on Mechanical or Electrical work on manufacturing equipment.
• A valid driver’s license.
• A US Passport or the ability to obtain one.
• Willingness to travel up to 80% by land and air, both domestically and internationally.
• Flexibility to work extended hours as business needs dictate.

Nice to have

• Background in the aluminum or primary metals sector.
• Experience with industrial fuel-fired equipment or engineered systems.
