HR Generalist

Essence Investment Ag seeks a mid-level HR Generalist for onsite work at the Marry Jane production facility in Breitenbach, Switzerland. The role involves end-to-end HR support, including recruitment, compliance, and employee relations, within the regulated cannabis sector.

This position supports the human resources needs of the Swiss production site for Marry Jane, providing comprehensive HR services to ensure smooth operations in a regulated cannabis environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage all HR functions at the production site, including hiring, onboarding, employee relations, payroll, and regulatory compliance.
• Provide guidance to managers and employees on HR policies, employment law, and industry-specific best practices in the cannabis sector.
• Maintain HR records, documentation, and data in line with Swiss labor regulations and internal procedures.
• Lead initiatives to improve employee engagement, health, safety, and overall well-being.
• Organize and coordinate staff training and professional development programs.
• Support performance reviews, feedback sessions, and appraisal processes.
• Serve as the main HR contact for all site-related inquiries and concerns.

Requirements

• At least one year of experience as the sole HR professional in a Swiss agriculture, production, or manufacturing setting.
• Fluent in both English and German.
• Solid understanding of Swiss employment law, industrial relations, and workplace safety standards.
• Ability to handle multiple responsibilities independently and solve problems proactively.

Nice to have

• An HRSE or HR Fachfrau/Fachmann certification.
• Prior experience in regulated industries such as cannabis, FMCG, or pharmaceuticals.
