The company seeks a Lead Health Systems Integrations Manager in Zug to connect healthcare organizations' EMR systems with Abbott Cancer Diagnostics platforms, acting as a liaison between external partners and internal teams.

This position serves as a central connection point between external healthcare providers and internal Abbott Cancer Diagnostics groups. The role focuses on aligning electronic health record systems with diagnostic workflows while collaborating closely with IT, engineering, laboratory operations, and commercial departments to ensure seamless integration.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the main contact for healthcare organizations and technology partners to identify and advance digital health integration projects.
  • Collaborate with account managers and marketing teams to provide technical expertise for digital health implementations.
  • Assist customer IT and operational teams in connecting their systems to Abbott Cancer Diagnostics platforms.
  • Facilitate conversations with clients about integration capabilities, technical needs, and implementation strategies.
  • Advocate for customer perspectives by helping internal teams understand external technical environments and operational requirements.
  • Manage onboarding and ongoing relationships with platforms like Epic, Cerner, and Dedalus.
  • Advise on data exchange methods, including HL7, FHIR, APIs, and laboratory order workflows.
  • Align internal cross-functional groups to support customer implementation efforts.
  • Spot opportunities to streamline connectivity and improve the overall customer experience.
  • Help resolve technical issues and coordinate activities during and after implementation phases.
  • Develop and sustain relationships with healthcare IT leaders, informatics professionals, and laboratory stakeholders.
  • Create and maintain documentation, workflow guides, and other resources for customers.

Requirements

  • Fluent English communication skills at a C1 level or higher, with the ability to discuss technical subjects clearly.
  • A bachelor's degree in healthcare, information technology, health informatics, or a related discipline.
  • Eight years of professional experience aligned with the core duties of this position.
  • Four years of background in healthcare technology, digital health, or health informatics.
  • Practical experience working with Cerner and/or Epic electronic health record systems.
  • Understanding of healthcare integration standards like HL7, FHIR, APIs, and laboratory workflows.
  • Proven track record of collaborating with healthcare organizations, hospital IT departments, laboratories, or technology vendors.
  • Knowledge of privacy and health data regulations, including GDPR, APPI, PIPEDA, HITECH, and HDS.
  • Strong capability to manage complex client relationships and coordinate diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to convey information effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
  • Legal authorization to work in Switzerland without requiring visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

  • Background in supporting EMR/EHR integrations or similar healthcare technology projects.
  • Experience with additional EHR platforms such as Dedalus, Meditech, or Athenahealth.
  • Familiarity with laboratory workflows and healthcare operational processes.
  • Awareness of the European Health Data Space (EHDS) and global healthcare interoperability and regulatory trends.
  • Experience working in a global organization with team members across multiple time zones.
  • Knowledge of molecular biology, genomics, translational science, or personalized medicine.
  • Exceptional technical communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in additional European languages (French, German, Italian, Polish, Spanish) or Japanese.
