PwC in Zürich seeks a Manager or Senior Manager for Life Sciences Quality Management Consulting. The role focuses on advising clients on quality systems, regulatory affairs, and digital transformation within the life sciences sector.
This position supports clients in navigating complexity to gain a competitive edge by strengthening trust and reinventing operations. The role sits within a technology-driven network that assists clients across audit, tax, legal, and consulting functions. It spans research and development, manufacturing, and commercial areas, with a specific emphasis on quality assurance, regulatory compliance, product safety, and medical affairs. The consultant will collaborate closely with teams handling market access and other life sciences value chain functions.
Responsibilities
- Lead and execute high-impact consulting engagements with senior stakeholders at prominent life sciences organizations.
- Generate and present innovative service propositions to win new business and grow existing client relationships.
- Design and deploy new technologies, quality management processes, operating models, and digital strategies across R&D, supply chain, and commercial operations.
- Enhance business performance by shifting quality mindsets, streamlining procedures, and leveraging process automation, advanced analytics, and artificial intelligence.
- Engage with international clients and participate in multicultural teams based in Switzerland and other locations.
- Partner with PwC's worldwide network of life sciences specialists.
- Contribute to a high-performing team culture built on mutual respect, collaboration, and collective success.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a scientific field.
- Approximately six years of experience in the life sciences industry, covering R&D, manufacturing, or commercial roles.
- Minimum of three years of consulting experience.
- Proven track record of managing large-scale transformation projects within a consulting setting.
- Experience in creating new service offerings and developing novel work approaches.
- Familiarity with critical steps for enhancing quality in regulated business functions.
- Understanding of technological innovations such as cloud computing, real-world data, natural language processing, and their impact on business performance, simplification, or patient-centricity in health markets.
- Strong attention to detail, robust problem-solving abilities, and technological proficiency.
- Excellent teamwork, interpersonal, listening, and communication capabilities.
- Fluency in English.
- Willingness to travel to support international clients.
Nice to have
- Proficiency in German and/or French.
- Experience with GxP standards, data privacy regulations, digital strategy formulation, operating model design, quality system development or enhancement, process optimization, technology deployment, and analytics in GxP-regulated settings.
- A collaborative spirit and enjoyment of social interactions with clients and colleagues both during and after work hours.
