GSK Switzerland seeks a Medical Affairs Head for Oncology in Baar to lead medical strategy, manage the team, and ensure alignment with global priorities while serving local patient needs.
This position serves as the primary medical leader for the Oncology portfolio within Switzerland. The role focuses on developing and executing medical strategies that align with global objectives while addressing specific local healthcare requirements. It involves guiding a high-performing team, collaborating across various departments, and representing the medical perspective to external stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Define and execute the medical strategy for the Oncology portfolio in Switzerland.
- Align local activities with global and regional medical priorities.
- Address specific patient and healthcare needs within the Swiss market.
- Manage, mentor, and develop a high-performing medical team.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with healthcare professionals and patient organizations.
- Represent the medical department in discussions with external stakeholders.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Commercial, Regulatory, and Market Access.
- Uphold GSK’s ethical standards and ensure compliance with all relevant policies and regulations.
- Provide strategic medical insights to support decision-making processes.
Requirements
- University degree in a scientific discipline or a closely related field.
- Extensive experience in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry, particularly in Oncology and Medical Affairs.
- Demonstrated expertise in strategy development, execution, and product launches.
- Proven leadership experience, including team management and development.
- Strong ability to collaborate and influence within a matrix environment.
- Experience building relationships with healthcare professionals and external stakeholders.
- Solid understanding of regulatory and compliance frameworks in the pharmaceutical industry.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
- Capability to translate complex scientific data into actionable insights.
- Fluent in both English and German languages.
