People Manager

Blp Digital seeks a People Manager in Zürich to lead HR operations and strategy during rapid scaling from 150 to 500+ employees. The role focuses on building scalable processes, ensuring compliance, and fostering company culture.

This role supports the organization's expansion into the UK and its growth trajectory from 150 to 500+ employees.

Responsibilities

• Manage and refine core HR functions such as payroll, benefits administration, onboarding, offboarding, and employee record keeping.
• Create and implement a People strategy aligned with the company's expansion from 150 to over 500 staff members.
• Design and deploy scalable HR workflows, systems, and automation tools.
• Oversee organization-wide programs including performance evaluations, equity plans, learning initiatives, and leadership training.
• Serve as a reliable advisor to managers regarding employee development, performance issues, and workplace relations.
• Foster employee engagement, internal communications, and a positive organizational culture.
• Partner with other departments to identify staffing requirements and streamline recruitment efforts.
• Maintain adherence to labor laws, employment regulations, and HR standards across all operational locations.

Requirements

• Minimum of three years in People operations, ideally within a high-growth startup or tech environment.
• Practical background in handling payroll, employment agreements, benefits, and regulatory compliance.
• Proven track record of establishing and enhancing People workflows and systems.
• Excellent interpersonal abilities and capacity to collaborate effectively with leadership and managers.
• A proactive approach with the flexibility to handle both strategic planning and operational tasks.

Nice to have

• Background in performance management, learning and development, or equity program administration.
• Familiarity with HR information systems (HRIS).
• Experience managing or supporting distributed international teams.
