Procurement Professional

Siemens seeks a Junior Procurement Professional in Switzerland to manage purchase orders, P2P processes, and import compliance. The role requires an electrical engineering background and SAP MM proficiency.

This position centers on executing core buyer tasks and generating purchase orders within the procurement department. The incumbent will oversee the end-to-end procure-to-pay cycle, ensuring that all import procedures, customs duties, and local statutory requirements are handled correctly for both international and domestic acquisitions.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily buyer tasks and generate purchase orders.
• Oversee the complete procure-to-pay workflow.
• Manage import logistics, including customs clearance, tax compliance, and statutory obligations for incoming goods.
• Monitor inventory levels and support warehouse management activities.
• Coordinate with various internal teams while balancing multiple competing priorities.

Requirements

• One to two years of professional experience in procurement.
• A bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
• Solid working knowledge of the SAP Materials Management (MM) module.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Fundamental technical understanding of electrical equipment, switchboards, and protection relays.
• Basic familiarity with lean manufacturing principles, production line dynamics, and workstation operations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities in English.
