Product Manager - Developer Tools

Flexion Robotics in Zürich seeks a Mid-level Product Manager for Developer Tools to own the product lifecycle of tools enabling deployment of AI software on humanoid robots. The role involves close collaboration with engineering teams, customer site visits, and hands-on testing with robots.

This role sits at the intersection of infrastructure engineering and customer needs, focusing on developer tooling for deploying Flexion’s AI software on new robot platforms. It involves translating real-world insights from testing and customer interactions into a product roadmap that accelerates deployment, covering everything from SDK integration to production debugging and defining what a great developer experience looks like for humanoid robot engineers.

Responsibilities

• Own the product roadmap for developer tools including SDKs, APIs, CLI tools, GUIs, diagnostics, and integration frameworks.
• Collaborate directly with customer engineering teams to understand integration workflows, hardware constraints, and pain points, including regular travel to customer sites.
• Define requirements and acceptance criteria for tooling releases, working with infrastructure and testing teams, and maintaining feedback loops between shipped features and customer needs.
• Gain hands-on experience with robots by running integrations, reproducing bugs, and validating tools in real-world conditions.
• Lead the release process for developer tools, including documentation, versioning, and changelog communication to customers.
• Track adoption and usage patterns using quantitative data and qualitative feedback to prioritize the backlog.
• Create and maintain developer documentation, tutorials, and reference architectures to support customer self-service.

Requirements

• 4+ years of product management experience with developer-facing products such as SDKs, APIs, developer platforms, or embedded tooling.
• Strong technical background, including ability to read C++ codebases, work in a terminal, and engage in architecture discussions.
• Comfort with hardware, including experience with robots, embedded systems, or physical products where software interacts with the real world.
• Experience supporting external developer communities or B2B technical customers, ideally with integration into third-party hardware or platforms.
• Willingness to travel regularly to customer sites across Europe and beyond.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including writing API specs, partner updates, and roadmap narratives.
• Ability to thrive in an early-stage, fast-paced environment with broad scope and ambiguity.

• Experience in robotics, computer vision, motion planning, or AI/ML deployment pipelines.
