Product Owner

Blockstream seeks a Mid-level Product Owner in Zürich to implement blockchain and digital asset solutions for enterprise clients. The role involves hands-on technical integration, deployment, and collaboration with engineering and client teams.

The Product Owner is a technical role within Blockstream’s Service & Enterprise Solutions team, focused on delivering blockchain and digital asset solutions for institutional clients. The position ensures high-quality implementation, operational readiness, and close coordination with architects, engineers, and delivery teams.

Responsibilities

• Implement and deploy blockchain and digital asset solutions for enterprise and institutional clients
• Build and configure solution components according to defined architectures and platform patterns
• Integrate Blockstream products with core banking, financial systems, custody, payments, and treasury platforms
• Connect Blockstream products with external vendors and third-party services
• Develop APIs, data flows, and event-driven integrations across distributed systems
• Support deployments in cloud, hybrid, and on-premise environments
• Collaborate with Solution Architects to validate technical choices and identify constraints
• Work with Delivery and Project Management teams on execution, testing, and go-live activities
• Assist with DevOps tasks including CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure setup, and environment configuration
• Diagnose and resolve integration, performance, and deployment issues in client environments
• Provide feedback to improve solution patterns, documentation, and reusability
• Support production stabilization and operational handover during early life of deployments

Requirements

• 3–6 years of experience in software, solution, platform, or system integration roles
• Practical experience building and integrating multi-system platforms in fintech, financial services, or security-sensitive environments
• Strong background with cloud platforms (AWS preferred, Azure or GCP also acceptable)
• Proven experience with modern deployment practices and CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with API-based and event-driven architectures
• Solid programming skills in at least one of: Python, Go, Java, Rust, or similar languages
• Understanding of security principles including authentication, authorization, and encryption
• Ability to collaborate effectively with architects, engineers, delivery teams, and client technical stakeholders
• Self-motivated and capable of working across multiple teams and geographies, maintaining high-quality and high-touch client engagement throughout delivery
• Required language skills: Swiss German, German, French, and English; Italian is a plus
• Must be located in Switzerland, with focus on Zurich, Geneva, or Lugano

Nice to have

• Experience with blockchain or digital asset platforms such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, or Layer-2 solutions
• Familiarity with distributed systems and messaging technologies
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and container orchestration
• Exposure to regulated environments like banking, custody, or payments
• Interest in advancing into a Solution Architect role
• Enthusiasm for Bitcoin, digital assets, and blockchain-based financial infrastructure
