Project Manager - Laboratory Operations

Eurofins Scientific seeks a Project Manager for Laboratory Operations to oversee the Materials Assessment Laboratory, ensuring alignment with business priorities and operational efficiency.

This position serves as the Operations Manager for the Materials Assessment Laboratory (MAL). The primary purpose of the role is to align testing activities, personnel, digital systems, and facility projects with the strategic goals of the Drug Product Design business.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily laboratory activities to guarantee the efficient delivery of testing requests and project milestones.
• Oversee sample submission processes, prioritize testing tasks, allocate resources, and manage scheduling.
• Assess laboratory capacity to identify and resolve bottlenecks, thereby enhancing overall operational efficiency.
• Create and apply operational metrics to monitor performance, productivity, and service level adherence.
• Ensure all laboratory documentation, reports, procedures, and technical records are completed and maintained accurately.
• Maintain strict compliance with internal quality systems, regulatory standards, and company policies.
• Manage laboratory data processes, including the review of electronic laboratory notebook (eLN) entries, Compose & Capture records, and associated testing data.
• Uphold data integrity, traceability, and adherence to laboratory quality standards.
• Support the implementation and optimization of digital laboratory systems such as Compose & Capture, MAX, and Snowflake.
• Lead training and cross-training initiatives to ensure workforce flexibility, competency, and business continuity.
• Manage laboratory renovation, relocation, and facility improvement projects.
• Oversee the lifecycle of laboratory equipment, including preventive maintenance, calibration schedules, service contracts, and vendor relationships.
• Lead or support digital transformation, process optimization, and laboratory modernization initiatives.
