Proton seeks a Senior Affiliates and Partnership Manager in Geneva to drive global growth for Proton VPN through strategic affiliate relationships and business development.
This senior position reports directly to the Head of Partnerships and focuses on expanding Proton VPN’s affiliate ecosystem worldwide. The role demands a blend of strategic planning, commercial negotiation, and data analysis to manage high-value relationships and achieve revenue targets.
Responsibilities
- Manage and expand relationships with key global affiliate partners.
- Develop joint business strategies with major publishers and networks.
- Negotiate commercial terms, sponsorships, and promotional placements.
- Source, recruit, and integrate new affiliate partners in target markets.
- Achieve specific goals for revenue, subscriptions, and profitability.
- Evaluate partner performance data to optimize marketing investments.
- Track affiliate metrics to spot trends, risks, and growth opportunities.
- Create performance reports and forecasts for executive leadership.
- Collaborate with Product, Marketing, Creative, Analytics, and regional teams.
- Represent the company at industry conferences and events.
Requirements
- At least five years in affiliate marketing, partnerships, performance marketing, or business development.
- Demonstrated success in managing strategic affiliate partnerships.
- Strong ability to negotiate commercial agreements.
- Hands-on experience with affiliate networks and tracking tools.
- Solid analytical skills for reporting and performance evaluation.
- Capacity to influence and coordinate across multiple internal teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience operating in a global business context.
Nice to have
- Background in SaaS, cybersecurity, fintech, or subscription-based services.
- Familiarity with platforms like Impact, CJ, Partnerize, Tune, or Awin.
- Experience working with editorial publishers, cashback sites, comparison engines, or loyalty programs.
- International partnership experience across North America, Europe, and APAC.
- Track record of owning commercial targets and driving measurable growth.
- Passion for online privacy, digital rights, and user data protection.
- Knowledge of the privacy ecosystem, including key influencers and industry trends.
- Experience managing affiliate programs for VPNs, secure email, password managers, or cloud storage.
