Senior Financial Analyst - Finance Operations (f/m/d)

Awin AG seeks a Senior Financial Analyst to build scalable data processes and automation for its Finance Operations team in Switzerland.

This newly created position serves as the technical execution engine for the finance data squad. The successful candidate will shape the Finance Operations function by building scalable financial data processes that support core accounting activities.

Responsibilities

• Extract and pre-process accounting data from source systems, ERPs, and finance tools.
• Create and sustain scalable data pipelines for financial reporting and accounting needs.
• Guarantee the accuracy, traceability, and auditability of all financial data inputs.
• Design automated reconciliation workflows between source systems, ERPs, and downstream reports.
• Investigate and resolve any breaks in reconciliation processes.
• Develop automation solutions to eliminate manual data manipulation by accounting teams.
• Enhance the efficiency and reliability of the month-end close process.
• Identify recurring data quality issues and collaborate with Data Engineering to fix them upstream.
• Create reports that support accounting and operational finance processes.
• Apply consistent data definitions and flag any inconsistencies.
• Work with Finance Systems to maintain alignment between source systems and ERP structures.

Requirements

• 3+ years experience in Finance, Accounting, or Data Analytics.
• Solid understanding of accounting processes (close cycle, revenue recognition, reconciliations, working capital).
• Ability to translate accounting requirements into data specifications.
• Bachelor’s Degree in a Finance, Business or Analytics related field.
• Fluent English.
• Strong SQL skills, including window functions, CTEs, and working with large transactional datasets.
• Experience working with ERP systems and financial data structures.

Nice to have

• Studying towards or holding AAT, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent.
• An additional European language.
• Python experience.
• Familiarity with Finance Data Warehouse concepts.
