Quotient seeks a Senior Maintenance Methods Engineer in Eysins, CH, to enhance equipment performance and maintenance processes in an in vitro diagnostics environment. The role focuses on reliability, safety, and compliance with regulatory standards, supporting cross-functional teams in continuous improvement.

This role aims to enhance equipment performance and maintenance practices within an in vitro diagnostics production setting. It supports operational excellence by improving availability, reliability, and safety of installations, while ensuring compliance with quality and regulatory standards. The position requires collaboration across Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, and Production teams to drive continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose equipment malfunctions, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Participate in equipment upgrades and optimization projects to boost reliability, OEE, and reduce downtime.
  • Work with Production, Quality, Engineering, and IT teams to maintain equipment availability and ensure uninterrupted operations.
  • Spot opportunities for process improvements and support LEAN and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Create and refine maintenance methods, work instructions, maintenance plans, and digital tools.
  • Assist in training operators and promoting best practices in maintenance.
  • Ensure adherence to GMP, ISO 13485, IVDR, FDA, and internal quality standards.
  • Support Change Control, deviation investigations, CAPA, and equipment qualification (IQ/OQ/PQ) activities.
  • Keep technical documentation accurate and audit-ready, and serve as a technical expert during audits.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience in a controlled production environment, such as Medical Device or Pharma, with lean manufacturing practices.
  • Extensive experience with automation, robotics, vision systems, instrumentation, and maintenance methodologies.
  • Solid understanding of cGMP requirements and experience in regulated environments like Medical Devices or Pharma.
  • Strong troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Team-oriented, proactive individual with strong organizational skills, flexibility, and an operational mindset.
  • Fluent in French.

Nice to have

  • English language skills are an advantage.
