SerDes Architecture and Modeling Engineer, CH

Kandou seeks a Senior SerDes Architecture and Modeling Engineer in Saint-Sulpice to develop software for serial link modeling, supporting the company's AI infrastructure goals.

This position focuses on the implementation, documentation, and maintenance of software tools used for system-level modeling of serial communication links. The role supports the company's mission to redefine AI infrastructure economics by enabling scalable, energy-efficient solutions through proprietary MIMO-over-copper technology. The engineer will collaborate closely with system architects to define transceiver specifications and work with analog, digital, and verification teams to aid the design process.

Responsibilities

• Develop, document, and maintain software for system-level modeling of serial communication links using MATLAB, Python, and C++.
• Collaborate with system architects to budget link performance and define block-level specifications for transceivers.
• Partner with analog, digital, and verification teams to support the overall design and verification workflow.

Requirements

• Solid understanding of control theory and digital algorithms.
• Proven ability to implement signal-processing algorithms.
• Knowledge of digital communication link building blocks and factors affecting link performance.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language: C++, MATLAB, or Python/NumPy.
• Familiarity with git version control and software engineering fundamentals such as unit testing and profiling.
• Experience with analog circuit simulators like SPICE or SPECTRE.
• Understanding of signal integrity principles.
• Strong communication and presentation abilities.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in semiconductor, telecommunications, or mathematical/scientific software industries.
• Bachelor of Engineering or higher in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Communication Systems, or Computer Science, with a strong background in Signal Processing and Circuits Theory.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with SerDes link components and clock recovery circuits.
• Experience in system-level simulation of digital communication systems, particularly with SerDes links.
• Experience working with geographically dispersed teams.
