Technical Trainer / Training Specialist (F/M)

The company seeks a Technical Trainer based in Basel to develop and deliver aviation training for EMEA maintenance and production teams, ensuring compliance with EASA regulations and internal standards.

This position supports maintenance, completion, and production staff throughout the EMEA region. Based in Basel, the role bridges aviation expertise with continuous learning to keep technicians compliant with regulations and aligned with Skills Development Center standards.

Responsibilities

  • Create and regularly refresh technical training materials, such as manuals, practical syllabi, and multimedia resources.
  • Choose and implement modern training techniques suited to varied learning styles.
  • Conduct classroom sessions covering compliance topics alongside theoretical and hands-on technical instruction.
  • Cultivate a supportive learning atmosphere that boosts operational performance.
  • Verify that all training materials comply with EASA rules and internal guidelines.
  • Keep training profiles, documentation, and records current in SuccessFactors.
  • Gather and analyze training feedback to implement continuous improvements.
  • Develop and refine internal assessment standards for trainers and mentors, including evaluation and authorization procedures.

Requirements

  • At least five years of experience in the aviation sector.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of EASA regulations, Safety Management Systems (SMS), and Human Factors.
  • Basic technical understanding of maintenance and production processes.
  • Excellent organizational abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Learning Management Systems (LMS), preferably SuccessFactors.
  • Fluent verbal and written English skills.

Nice to have

  • Part-66 B1/C or B2/C license is preferred.
  • Experience in project management is advantageous.
  • Interest in continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Knowledge of German and French is beneficial.
