Transaction Banking, Payments Product Manager, Associate

Goldman Sachs seeks a Mid-level Associate Product Manager to lead the strategy and lifecycle of its digital-first Transaction Banking payments products.

This position is central to directing the end-to-end management of payments products. The incumbent will define and execute the business strategy for these offerings, supporting the team’s goal of creating a modern, digital-first transaction banking solution.

Responsibilities

• Guide payment transformation projects from initial concept through to final launch.
• Serve as the primary subject matter expert regarding the global payments landscape.
• Collaborate closely with Engineering, Operations, and Risk departments.
• Manage the complete product lifecycle, including ideation, strategy, design, launch, and subsequent improvements.
• Create and implement go-to-market plans to ensure successful product commercialization.
• Consult with clients and internal partners to identify challenges, opportunities, and industry shifts.
• Drive continuous product improvement by tracking performance metrics and incorporating client feedback.

Requirements

• Hold a Bachelor’s Degree or possess equivalent military experience.
• Have a minimum of three years of experience in a payments-related capacity.
• Demonstrate a background as a payments product manager or within a payments product development team.
• Show prior experience implementing payment rails or similar payment products.
• Be proficient in agile project development methodologies.
• Exhibit strong partnership capabilities with operations and engineering teams.
• Have proven experience owning products from ideation through to commercialization.
• Display excellent organizational, time management, and planning abilities.

Nice to have

• Possess expertise in ISO 20022 and SWIFT standards within payments and cash management.
• Maintain detailed knowledge of both domestic and international payment rails.
