Goldman Sachs seeks a Mid-level Associate Product Manager to lead the strategy and lifecycle of its digital-first Transaction Banking payments products.
This position is central to directing the end-to-end management of payments products. The incumbent will define and execute the business strategy for these offerings, supporting the team’s goal of creating a modern, digital-first transaction banking solution.
Responsibilities
- Guide payment transformation projects from initial concept through to final launch.
- Serve as the primary subject matter expert regarding the global payments landscape.
- Collaborate closely with Engineering, Operations, and Risk departments.
- Manage the complete product lifecycle, including ideation, strategy, design, launch, and subsequent improvements.
- Create and implement go-to-market plans to ensure successful product commercialization.
- Consult with clients and internal partners to identify challenges, opportunities, and industry shifts.
- Drive continuous product improvement by tracking performance metrics and incorporating client feedback.
Requirements
- Hold a Bachelor’s Degree or possess equivalent military experience.
- Have a minimum of three years of experience in a payments-related capacity.
- Demonstrate a background as a payments product manager or within a payments product development team.
- Show prior experience implementing payment rails or similar payment products.
- Be proficient in agile project development methodologies.
- Exhibit strong partnership capabilities with operations and engineering teams.
- Have proven experience owning products from ideation through to commercialization.
- Display excellent organizational, time management, and planning abilities.
Nice to have
- Possess expertise in ISO 20022 and SWIFT standards within payments and cash management.
- Maintain detailed knowledge of both domestic and international payment rails.
